must volunteer 4 hours of time at an AHAME event
(Meetings, Trail Rides, Horse Shows etc;) or pay a fee
of $25.00 per horse entered in the program.

Division I – All Arabian and Half Arabian (USEF/ AHA)
Shows
In order to qualify for year-end awards, horse/exhibitor
must attend two USEF / AHA shows. Also in
each category horse/exhibitor must place at least twice.

Division II – In State MHA - Affiliated Shows Rated AA,
A & B.
In order to qualify for year-end awards, horse/exhibitor
must attend and show and place at three of
the MHA AA, A and B rated shows. Also in each category,
horse/exhibitor must place at least two times at any of
the MHA rated AA, A & B different shows, with the
exception of the Open division (all classes not
specifically listed below), in which all classes placed
in will count for points. Youth points will be awarded
only in classes for riders under the age of 18. The
categories are listed below, followed by the classes
that count towards each category.

Division III – Non Rated Shows and MHA rated C & D shows
In order to qualify for year end awards, horse/exhibitor
must attend and show and place at three of the MHA C and
D rated shows and any non-rated. Youth points will be
awarded only in classes for riders under the age of 18.
The best ten placing in each category will be used to
determine the total points. Please send in all your
results.

Division IV
This division is to recognize Arabians in other
areas. All points and placings, mileage and averages
must be sent to the Point Chairperson within 4 weeks of
each event in order to count. For Endurance and
Competitive the Ectra Point Table will be used to tally
points for year end. Adult and Youth awards will be
given in all categories of this division.

Dressage:
Horse must show in a minimum of three events under at
least two different judges. Free style scores will be
included in the appropriate level in which horse is
being ridden. Scores submitted will be averaged, with
the highest average percentage to be Champion, second
highest average to be Reserve Champion.
Introductory (Pre Training) Level ~ Champion and

Level I ~ Champion and Reserve Champion

Hunter/ Jumper:
Horse must attend three
shows and must show over fences classes to qualify
(Hunter Pleasure and Hunter on the Flat do not count)
Points to be awarded on the same system as Horse Show
category points.

Combined
Training: Horse must attend three Combined Training
events and meet the requirements set forth for said
events. Horse with the highest number of combined points
will be named Champion; horse with the second highest
number of points will be named Reserve Champion.
Awards will be given in the following categories.
Separate awards to be given for juniors.
Arabian Competitive Trail: One day rides
Arabian Competitive Trail: Multi-day rides (includes 2
& 3 day rides)
Half-Arabian Competitive Trail: One-day rides
Half-Arabian Competitive Trail: Multi-day rides

Endurance
Trail: Horse must complete a minimum of two rides to
be eligible for an award. Limited Distance Endurance is
a mileage award, no other points to be given. Highest
score to be named Champion, second highest score to be
named Reserve Champion. Points will be given using the
same point table as ECTRA. All AHAME rules apply.
Awards will be given in the following categories.
Separate awards to be given for juniors.
Arabian Limited Distance Endurance: 25-35 miles (This
is a mileage award)
Arabian Endurance: 50 -95 Miles
Arabian Endurance: 100 Miles
Half- Arabian Limited Distance Endurance: 25-35 miles
(This is a mileage award)
Half-Arabian Endurance: 50-95 Miles
Half-Arabian Endurance: 100 Miles

Competitive
Trail: To qualify for a year end award in One Day
Competitive Trail, a minimum of three rides must be
completed. For all other categories, the horse must
complete a minimum of two rides to qualify for an award
in that category.. Placing/scores must be submitted to
Point Chairperson. Highest score to be named Champion;
second highest score to be named Reserve Champion.
Points will be given using the same point table as ECTRA.
All AHAME rules apply.
Awards will be given in the following categories.

Arabian Competitive Trail: One day rides
Arabian Competitive Trail: Multi-day rides (includes 2

Pleasure Trail
Riding: This is a mileage program. Rider must keep
track of miles ridden at pleasure trails hosted by any
organized riding club/organization. Ride-A-Thon benefit
rides also count. Horse/Rider combination must be the
same at al rides. Three different levels of awards are
offered:
Level I – Completion of 75 miles but not more
than 149 miles
Level II – Completion of at least 150 miles but
not over 199 miles.
Level III – Completion of at least 200 miles.

Year to Year
Accumulative Mileage Awards: Over 1000 miles & Over 2000
miles

Division V

This division is for all other USEF and NEHC rated Shows
that do not qualify in any other Division.
In order to qualify for year
end awards, horse/exhibitor must attend and show and
place at three USEF or NEHC rated shows.

Purebred and
Half -Arabians: Separate awards are given for Arabians
and Half-Arabians.

GENERAL RULES:
1. Nomination forms must be received by the Point
Chairperson prior to the horse’s first show. Points are
not retroactive.
2. NEW FOR 2008. A fee of
$25.00 must be paid or 4 hours of volunteer time at an
AHAME event must be made before awards will be
presented. (Events include meetings, Trail Rides, Horse
Shows etc;)
3. Rider need not to be a member of AHAME, but the
horse’s owner must be a member. All youth competitors
must be members. Owner must be a member in good standing
in accordance with AHAME by-laws.
(See Article 4,
Annual Dues).
4. All classes not listed will be conducted towards the
Open category including all Adult Equitation classes.
5. The Exhibitor is responsible for mailing results on
the Show Result Form and sending a copy of the class
list. RESULTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE POINT
CHAIRPERSON WITHIN FOUR WEEKS OF THE SHOW OR THEY WILL
NOT COUNT. No results received after November 1st
will be counted.
6. Direction for filling out Show Result Form:
a. One Show and
One Horse per form. Neatly written please.
b. All forms must
have the date of the Show on them.
c. Send a class
list for all shows in Division III
& V
7. In case of a tie, the one with the most first
places wins, then second places, etc. to sixth place.
8. For a class to qualify for a Youth class, it must be
restricted by age of the rider or handler under the age
of 18. Classes may be further restricted , such as 12
and under etc. Walk Trot and Lead Line are Youth
classes.
9. Youth Classes, which are open to multiple seats such
as Arabian Junior Exhibitor and MHA Youth Activity, will
count to whichever seat the exhibitor was riding. Make
sure to write the seat on the Show Result Form.
10. Any class that qualifies as a youth class will be counted
as such. Any Amateur class that is not a Youth class
will be counted as an Amateur class (Division I & II
only). No class will count in more than one category.
11. If three or more awards are won in any division the
trophy will be combined for a year end award. Separate
Ribbons will be awarded.
